General Information

The Water/Wastewater Section of the Division of Environmental Health is comprised of environmental health specialists who are dedicated to protecting the environment and promoting public health. This is accomplished through a variety of responsibilities, some of which include:

• responding to complaints
• issuing/denying septic tank system permits
• inspecting septic tank systems and water supply wells
• water sampling
• public swimming pool inspections
• providing education and consultation to the public
